Executive Coaching is considered the “best-kept secret of fortune-500 companies.”

Between 25 and 40 percent of the most successful Fortune-500 companies rely on the coaching of their leadership to further business and profits.

Based on “Coaching Statistics: The ROI of Coaching in 2024”  posted at International Coaching Federation (ICF), a global survey by PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the Association Resource Center report an average ROI of seven times the cost of employing a coach.

Frequently Asked Questions about Coaching (FAQ)
What is performance coaching, and how does it differ from other coaching types?

To answer the question, it is important to note that W. Timothy Gallwey, a Harvard educationalist recognized as one of most influential thinkers in the field of executive coaching, demonstrated a simple Inner Game formula over four decades ago:

Performance = potential – interference (both external and internal)

Sir John Whitmore, a pioneer of the executive coaching industry, defined: "Coaching is unlocking people's potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them."

So, we can see that the essence of coaching is about performance.

The distinguishing feature of performance coaching or coaching for performance - in other words, is that it is successfully applicable when working with a team on project performance facilitating and reviewing both individuals’ and team’s results and outcomes.

Performance coaching is a key strategy in creating a high-performance organizational culture.

What measurable outcomes can I expect from performance coaching?

Coaching outcomes and benefits of coaching for the coachees and organizations are grouped in:

    • Tangible and intangible
    • Quantitative and qualitative
    • Short-term and long-term.

We agree that coaching outcomes are difficult to evaluate.

Meanwhile, we always measure coaching progress and success using metrics on return on investment (ROI), return on expectations (ROE), and multi-rater feedback system.

Our clients report that their main measurable outcomes are:

    • Improved effective behavioral and communication patterns
    • Improved individual performance
    • Improved business outcomes
    • Boosted confidence level of individuals
    • Developed agile attitude to transformations
    • Increased work satisfaction

Remember that right evaluation methods to measure coaching outcomes work properly only under the circumstances when there is an open, trustful, and committed coaching collaboration between a coach and a coachee.

Why Do Companies Need Performance Coaches?

Qualified performance coaches, being independent and unbiased, enable both leaders and employees to excel within the company making a great impact on the organizational development and its real performance improvement.

They assist people in charge with boosting organizational health.

They help to refocus the blame and defensive culture to honest evaluation, recognition, and acknowledgement helping managers to take ownership and raise personal responsibility within the organizational strategy.

Performance coaches help mature leaders to create a high-performance organizational culture, which characteristics are sustainability, values, quality, sufficiency, service, and learning.

Is performance coaching suitable for remote or hybrid work settings?

Performance coaching is suitable for remote or hybrid work settings.

MINDS Coaching and Consulting offer one-to-one online and onsite performance coaching sessions.

Meanwhile, when we work in the context of building a high-performance organizational culture, we offer hybrid work options.

How can performance coaching benefit professionals in fast-paced environments like Dubai?

Performance coaching is a key strategy to help professionals to thrive, not survive in fast-paced environments.

We help our coachees, if high speed is right for them, with their work-life balance.

In addition, coaching sessions are mainly focused on their ability to

    • Set clear goals, priorities, and boundaries
    • Enhance communication skills
    • Improve time-management skills
    • Be organized
    • Be specific
    • Take ownership.
